You can substitute with vegetarian oyster sauce (also called mushroom oyster sauce), there won’t be much difference in taste.

We ate it over white sticky rice. It was great. ? Does the cornstarch need to be used in the recipe, can it be substituted with another ingredient?
I had a problem trying to print the recipe from the website so I had to type it out to save it. It wouldn’t even let me save it. Odd but we enjoyed it. thanks.
