Thank you Elaine for sharing your recipe. My littlest loves making boba at home, we’ve been getting it at our local Korean market, but this recipe means I know what’s going into her boba with trusted ingredients. Thank you. We had great luck with our first try, she loves the flavor. We made the syrup with some peaches we had. We only boiled enough for a few drinks, and froze the rest for later. This recipe makes plenty to last her at least a month if not longer. She wants to try other flavors.

~If I understand correctly you substitute the water for the juice of choice?
~Do you still use the same amount of sugar?
~What about dry ingredients like matcha?

I don’t have a comment on the recipe really. I just wanted to say thank you. Your articles with the recipes are very informative. They give a sense of the culture from which the recipe is derived and a sense of the history in many cases. My girlfriend lives in China. We are hoping to marry and have her live with me in the states. I want to be able to cook dishes for her that remind her of home as she claims she is not able to cook well. Your recipes will allow me to put a bit of the history and homeland personality into those dishes due to your informative background articles for the recipes. Thank you again.
